Exclusions: Offenders serving a sentence for, or having been convicted of, arson or sexual assault will be considered on a case by case basis. Offenders who have a severe or persistent medical and or psychiatric condition that would prohibit full program participation.
Length of Program: The average length of stay is 120 days.
Description of Services Offered
The Fresh Start Enterprise House is a male temporary housing program which provides employment assistance, education and vocational training, peer mentoring and community service linkages as well as a full range of supportive services to aid each offender as he attempts to re-establish himself as a productive member of society.

Description of Services Offered Isaiah House is a 45 bed Work Release program whose goal is to enhance public safety by reducing recidivism as it assists offenders in making successful transitions to community living. Services include, but are not limited to, room and board, accountability, needs assessment and individual treatment plans, case management, employment readiness and job development.

Description of Services Offered Mary Magdalene House is a 15 bed work release program for women. The goal of the program is to enhance public safety by reducing recidivism as we assist offenders in making successful transitions to community living. Services include room and board, accountability, needs assessment and individual treatment plans, case management, employment readiness and job development. All services are provided through a gender responsive program model.


Transitional Housing

This program consists of twenty single rooms in one building located at 98A Elm Street, Danbury, Connecticut. All potential residents must be referred by the agency providing support services. The SRO is considered transitional housing for homeless individuals. The maximum length of residency is twenty-four (24) months. Residents pay thirty percent (30%) of their gross income for participation in this program.

House rules were created and implemented by the residents, with monthly house meetings to air grievance and to discuss any pertinent issues and concerns. It is the intention of this program that residents, working closely with their support service providers, utilize this period of time to develop skills, budget and save their money to secure permanent housing within the twenty-four (24) month time frame.
