Services: This emergency, overnight shelter, run by Pilgrim Church, accommodates 124 chronically homeless men, many of whom are struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. United Homes Adult Shelter also offers a 24-hour program. Eligibility for 24-hour program will be determined after face-to-face assessment by Case Manager. Case Management offers progressive program to assist in finding permanent housing. Small specialized reentry program. Services provided include:
• Sober Living Program: Up and Out
• Homeless Services: Homestart and treatment are provided
• Mental Health: treatment is provided
Whittier Street Veterans Association stops by once a week
Hours: Check-in: first-time guests at 5pm; must leave by 7am if not enrolled in program
Requirements & Restrictions: No Level 3 sex offenders or arsonists allowed. Men only, 18 or older. 30 days of sobriety preferred; no drugs/alcohol/paraphernalia allowed on premises.
