Illinois Reentry Programs and Assistance

Safer Foundation – The foundation offers a large assortment of services, such as educational, employment, and support.

TASC – Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities, or TASC, has been around since 1976. They work with men and women all over Illinois with advocacy and case management services.

Thresholds – Established in 1997, this Illinois reentry service has maintained a strong record of helping ex-offenders create better lives and stay out of prison.

Green Reentry – A project run by the Inner-City Muslim Action Network. They rehab foreclosed and vandalized property in Chicago Lawn. These are then used for transitional housing for ex-offenders during their reentry.

St Leonard’s House – Provides transitional housing as well as support services.

7-70 Re-entry Services – A faith-based organization that provides coaching, mentoring, and counseling.

Reentry Source – A large organization that has branches in multiple states. They offer free reentry services for people with criminal records looking for a better life.

Re-Entry Illinois – A directory of services and reentry housing for Exoffenders in Illinois.

Teamwork Englewood – Serving the South Side of Chicago, they support ex-offenders connect with partners at their headquarters in Englewood.

LSSI – LSSI stands for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. They are a faith-based ministry that focuses on ex-offenders building and/or maintaining relationships with their children, employment and life skills.

MPOWR – A reentry network that connects many different people and organizations involved in the criminal justice system.

Therapy Options

  • Alternative Behavior Treatment Centers – The Alternative Behavior Treatment Centers is a juvenile treatment facility. There main office is located in Mundelein, Illinois.
  • Gina L. Spielman LCSW and Associates – Gina L. Spielman LCSW and Associates provide counseling to adult and juvenile sex offenders. They are located in Oswego and Naperville, Illinios.
  • The Center for Contextual Change – The Center for Contextual Change provides comprehensive juvenile sex offender evaluations and develops treatment goals to balance the needs of the many parties involved. They have several locations in the Chicagoland area.
  • The Millennium Counseling Center – The Millennium Counseling Center offers counseling for sexual addicted individuals.  They are locate in Chicago, Illinois.
  • Life Enrichment Services, Inc. – Life Enrichment Services, Inc. assist individuals who are addicted to cybersex and cyberporn as well as family and friends affected by the consequences of cybersex addiction.  They also provide sexual addictions and compulsions, gender identity issues, recovery from sexual trauma, and sexual dysfunctions counseling. Life Enrichement Sevices is located in Wheaton, Illinois.
  • Hedy Tan, CSAT – Hedy Tan offers counseling for sex addiction to individuals. She is located in Chicago, Illinois.
  • InsideOut Living, Inc. – InsideOut Living provides counseling for sex addiction and cybersex addiction to individuals.  They are located in Evanston, Illinois.
  • Successful Self-Care, Ltd – Successful Self-Care provides sex/love addictions. They are located in Chicago, Illinois.
  • The Antioch Group – The Antioch group provides sexual addiction therapy. They are located in Peoria, Illinois.
  • Kids Hope United – Kids Hope United is a private, nonprofit human service organization dedicated to protecting children and strengthening families.  They provide sex offender treatment for juvenile and are located in Lake Villa and St. Charles, Illinois.
  • Dr. Frank Cushing and Dr. Kyle Cushing – Dr. Frank Cushing and Dr. Kyle Cushing, clinical psychologists who have over 35 years experience in providing caring, quality mental health evaluation and treatment services to people in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. They conduct sexual offense evaluation and sex offender therapy.  They are located in Rockford, IL.
