Brother Francis Shelter
A voluntary emergency shelter for homeless men and women, 18 years of age and older, with a capacity for 240 guests
Location: 1021 E 3rd Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501
Hours: 24 hours/day, 365 days/year

Check-in begins at 5PM nightly, and concludes at 11PM when curfew goes into effect. First time guests will go through a registration process upon check-in.
For admission into the shelter, the following criteria must be met:
- At least 18 years of age
- Homeless
- Behaviorally appropriate
- Able to independently provide self-care (e.g. the ability to get up and down off the mats, shower, use the restroom and dress oneself independently)
- Free of highly contagious medical conditions (e.g. Tuberculosis, ringworm, chicken pox, whooping cough, measles)
- Able to comply with shelter policies and procedures

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM; 4th Wednesday of each month: 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM

When coming to the Saint Francis House Food Pantry you should bring the following items:
- ID’s for everyone in your household (State ID, Denali Kid Care, Birth
Certificate, CIB Card) – A Social Security Card is not accepted. - Proof of Address (POA) for all adults in your household (If the ID has the correct address, then this will serve as a POA). Also, Utility Bill, Piece of Mail, etc. can serve as POA.
- Reusable Shopping bags!
- 1 hour of free time

A case management program that assists and supports homeless individuals and families in securing stable, permanent housing and increasing self-sufficiency.

- Family with dependents
- Unsheltered
- Desire and willingness to work on a service plan to increase self-sufficiency

Supportive Services for Veterans’ Families
Basic eligibility requirements:
- A Veteran, or member of a Veteran household in which the Head of Household is a Veteran (*Veteran must have an other-than dishonorable discharge)
- Very low income (below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI))
- Currently homeless or expecting to become homeless (eviction notice)
