Programs: Food Boxes
Every day the volunteers pack and deliver between 30-60 food boxes. Each “box” contains at least 20 pounds of food per person and is enough food for three days. That means, each person receives at least 9 meals (3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners).
Last year the Food Bank provided almost 300,000 meals, distributing 2,000,000 pounds of food (to food box recipients, and through our Agency Shopping program) thanks to 18,000 volunteer hours.
