Amen. My friend was just seeing a 16 yrs old girl who lied about her age. There’s a lot of reasons that they can be charged with that offense. I think it’s totally ridiculous. It ruined my friends life.
Amen for that. That is how most get accused. My step brother wanted to divorced his overbearing controlling wife and she accused him raping her and molesting child. He past DNA and still was sentenced. Just because she had family members higher rank careers was able to pull strings and still he served 16 years in prison and stuck with a labor. I he even participated in the innocent program. He is free now, but stuck with this label that he did not commit.

Right, not all sex offenders are rapists or child molestors. Right now I am trying to find housing for my friend who happens to be married to a sex offender. All he did was something we all have done and when he was a teenager he was dating a girl just under 18 and he is paying for it so far beyond what is reasonable. There is a huge distinction between a very dangerous predatory sex offender and your garden variety teenage boy with a 16 year old girlfriend. In a lot of states in our county it is legal. I bet you $10, Victoria, you had kids younger than my friend’s husband was when he offended the one and only time he ever did. I don’t know many people who did not engage in sex as a minor or with someone who was while being 18. I don’t think this kind of offender should be shunned, have no place to live or work. In my opinion the best way they can pay back the community is to work and be productive, not set up to fail. I am searching anywhere close to Phoenix or out of state. From what I have found out is there are many states that don’t have residency restrictions but local municipalities can set their own regulations. It is not some much the county as it is the city. From what I found out about in Phoenix is that even though I am a low risk, since my crime has the word child in it I can not live within 1000′ of a school or daycare. So what I want to know is these places in Phoenix or the valley that are listed, are they inside those red zones. It would be great to see a map that show open areas farther than 1000′ where we can live.
