Questions and Comments – Sex Offender One Stop Resource
Please feel free to read our questions and comments page and offer any assistance you may.
My husband is a tier III sex offender in the state of Ohio. I am from Baton Rouge and I am expecting our first child. We are looking into trying to move to Baton Rouge to be near my family so we can have help when our baby is born. I found your website online and hoped you may be able to point me in the right direction as to how to start this process and find out if the state of Louisiana will allow my husband to move there. Also, I was hoping you may have some suggestions about housing once we hopefully are able to relocate to Baton Rouge. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

What may we assist you with?: My brother and I are looking for living assistance due to the fact that he is being told to move after the fact that he has the petition process started and has been living here for about a year and a half. The reason is because of a daycare at the end of the road. We live off of is SSI and my check where I only work part time when the holiday season is over. As it is we have been having to live with friends for several years. He is disabled, and I am trying to help him the best I can.

What may we assist you with?: I need legal assistance establishing that property I plan to purchase & develop is in compliance with Lake County Laws before I buy it. The Sheriffs Office is not any help. In fact, they are contradictory & confusing. I was forced to move about 6 months ago because Mascotte City Council said they had been using the wrong map overlay, after I lived there peacefully for 1& 1/2 years.
I want to settle & build but need direction.
